Love the radio!

I had a great time this morning at Ron Ponder's co-host on his radio show on WHBC-AM. We were live on location at the Courtyard Marriott. I enjoyed talking about history and what's coming up at the museum.

I hope some of you were able to hear it. I know Bill and Judy Gouge were listening! Judy is a faithful blog reader. She saw my post yesterday and tuned in this morning. They even stopped by to say hi while we were on the air. Thanks for coming out guys!

I am now back at the museum, working on the collection. We have made great progress in recent weeks, but there is still so much to do! Yesterday I finished tagging a collection of dresses from the 1960s and 1970s. There are still men's neckties and a variety of miscellaneous things to number. I have already done all the hats and gloves in that donation. I am up to 96 in the that donation -- it was a big one!

The museum will be closed for Easter, but we are open Good Friday and Saturday. If you've got guests from out of town, consider bringing them into the Museum! We have lots to see, and something for everyone. :-)

Fashion Finds exhibition at the Canton Museum of Art

I am working with Kathy Fleeher at the Canton Museum of Art to create a textile exhibition to go along with several neat purse and hat exhibitions they have planned for May-June.

This is one of the dresses that will be included!

We chose dresses from the 1950s-1970s to illustrate the point that the 20th century is history! And we'd like to build the collection to reflect the modern era.

Look for more information as I work on it. Right now the list of chosen dresses is probably a bit longer than we have mannequins. But we will work that out next week.

Co-hosting Ron Ponder's show tomorrow morning

Ron Ponder just called and asked me to co-host his radio show tomorrow morning from 10-Noon.

Ecosystem dioramas on display in Discover World

Linda Miller's 3rd grade students at Our Lady of Peace built these wonderful ecosystem dioramas!

They are on display in Discover World through May in celebration of EARTH DAY on April 22. Stop in and take a look. They are adorable in person!

Tea with the Curator -- Women's Suffrage

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Tea with the Curator series!

I have such a good time every time we have one! And this week was no exception.

For Women's History Month, I did my program "Women's Suffrage: A Celebration of Persistence."
