Are you related to a letter writer in the book A Secret Gift?

If you are, we want to hear from you!

This summer I will begin working on an exhibit based on the book A Secret Gift by Ted Gup.  He donated all of the original letters, thank you notes, and canceled checks to the Museum.  To celebrate the 80th anniversary of his grandfather Sam Stone's generous Christmas gift to 150 Canton families in 1933, we are going to bring his story to life in a 3D way.

But we need your help!

We're hoping to track down some objects that belonged to the families in the letters.  We're looking for anything -- clothing, toys, furniture, jewelry -- just something tangible that represents the life of the person who wrote the letter or their families.

If you or someone you know is related to a letter writer, please contact me at 330-455-7043.  Or visit the Museum's Contact Us page to send me an email (choose Curator).
