Exhibition design preview

Here is the layout I drew for "The Sheila Markley Black Collection" exhibition that opens March 27 in the Keller Gallery.  I'm very excited to share these lovely dresses with all of you!

Of course, the plan might change as we begin installation.  It usually does, even if just a little bit.

I purchased a lovely silver sequin backdrop with white tulle over it to put up behind the Little Black Dresses.  As you probably know, the temporary gallery walls are painted black, which wouldn't work very well to display black dresses!  The sparkly background will set the dresses off very nicely.  And in the future, we can use the backdrop for other exhibitions or on the stage for the Bridal Show.

"The Legacy of Ferdinand A. Brader" closes on Sunday.  So work will begin Monday morning de-installing one exhibition and installing the next.

Yesterday my volunteer Kathy and I made some selections of hats and shoes to include in the exhibition.  We chose a few too many than we have space for, so next week I will be making some more tough decisions...

We hope you will plan to join us for the FREE exhibition opening on Friday March 27 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

The exhibition is sponsored in part by:
