C-SPAN's series on First Ladies
C-SPAN was in town yesterday to film on location for the series First Ladies: Influence & Image!
I spent the afternoon showing off some of our best Ida McKinley artifacts. The part they were the most excited about was her amazing gowns. I picked four of my favorites to talk about on camera.
The series is currently airing on Monday nights. You can see the show about Ida McKinley on June 10 at 9:00 PM. Click here for more on Ida's episode!

Comment in guest book
Yesterday we discovered the following comment in the Keller Gallery Guest Book for the exhibit "Aspectations" by Su Nimon:
We were so touched, and happy to play a small part in Mandy's healing process. We don't know who she is, but we're sending good thoughts her way.
In my line of work, I'm fortunate to have constant reminders of why I do what I do. People are very generous with their gratitude for what we do here at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, and we are so lucky to be in such a great community!
Art is so subjective. I believe each person who views a particular piece gets what they need out of it. For some, it might be a minor effect, but for others, the impact can be profound.
If you haven't been in to see "Aspectations" yet, it's on view in the Keller Gallery through Sunday May 19.

Entertainment pics I still would like to find...
I am working hard on my new Arcadia book Canton Entertainment!
I'm almost done gathering photos, but there are a few I really wish I could get my hands on. If you have a photo (or poster/ticket/ad/program/etc) of any of the following, please call me at 330-455-7043!
